s with most of the Pet Shop Boys CDs, German release was repackaged
from paper sleeve to transparent slim plastic jewelbox. Its sleeve
also has numerous additions, such as German catalogue numbers, “MAXI-CD”
label and additional information about mixers and engineers.
The design of the CD itself is completely different from the UK
release, having all text in blue on silver background.

his unique and rare 3” CD release was the Japanese version of UK 7”
vinyl.
The original CD idea was for 3” and 5” CDs to be the
counterparts of 7” and 12” vinyls, respectively. But this concept
was quickly abandoned as the 3” CDs turned out to be pretty
inconvenient to keep in stores and on shelves. In most of the markets
smaller CDs ended up being used as rare promos and special issues,
but in Japan many of the Pet Shop Boys singles were still released
in this format.

erman Being remixed CD is, as a couple of other German Pet
Shop Boys CDs those days—the exact equivalent of British
12” vinyl; so exact its artwork even included the original UK
catalogue number.
This release was unique to this market, hence such
big market value nowadays. But it is somewhat justified, because even
today this CD is the only digital source of the two We all
feel better in the dark remixes—Disco 2
remix album (where the latter appeared in edited form) doesn’t count, as it was
originally mixed from vinyl.
